Eco Design - Bristol Wood Recycling Project
Bristol Wood Recycling Project was set up in 2004 with four aims:-
- Save resources from waste
- Provide affordable wood to the local community
- Enable Social Inclusion by offering volunteer placements
- Be self-financing (not reliant on funding)
"To achieve that, we are many things: A timber merchant; An ecological waste wood management company; A community enterprise; A wood workshop; A self financing social enterprise; A salvage and reclamation yard of wood; A worker's cooperative; A home-grown business that has sprung out of derelict land; A unique specimen in an increasingly homogenised world."
